Thank you for your reply. I have checked the links you sent me as well as another one associated with a Urology Center in LA. It is just curious that the problem begins after three years. Is that common?
At the moment the medication is working....we will take it one day at a time but I will ask him to do the imaging just to identify the exact situation.
Hi,
How is your husband? Long term complications associated with HIFU include urethral stricture risk, urinary incontinence risks, stress incontinence, and even reduced sexual activity. (ref: http://www.melbournehifu.com.au/whybetter.aspx) If the urination problem persists, it is best that he checks with his attending physician for proper evaluation and management. Direct clinical examination and further tests may need to be done. Take care and do keep us posted.
