I am 2 1/2 years out from breast cancer diagnosis. I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation and am considered cancer-free. Stage 1, grade 3, no node involvement, triple negative cancer.
For the past 2 months I have had a pain in my hip and weight bearing bothers it also. I am about 30 pounds overweight. The pain in my hip started when sitting....at night and hurts really bad in bed. Then it progressed to when I was walking and now it hurts pretty much all the time. It used to only hurt on the side of my hip near the joint but now it bothers me across the front of my right leg, across the back of that same leg, in my butt bone and down my femur. The pain is a dull ache - sometimes worse than others.
Of course I am worried about mets to the bone but is arthritis an option? Tumor markers have been fine. What else might it be? An Xray shpowed nothing but I have requested an MRI even though I had one for another issue last September '09. Any help is appreciated.
I doubt it is any bone mets related to your staging and tumor marker information you have provided.
