My understanding is that lymph nodes can remain swollen for quite a while after an infection. It is most likely that both of them are from your recent infection. Stop touching them for a while (over a month) and then allow yourself to check.
I also understand that sore spongy nodes are even more likely to be due to infection.
Take care of yourself and your son and try to not think of this for a few weeks.
