small itchy bump

by samm1985, Oct 30, 2009 04:20PM
I have a small itchy bump at the opening of my Virgina, its been there for 2 days, but does not itch often now and then. Could someone tell me what it could be and how can I treat this, and will it go away.

It is probably an ingrown hair and will have to come to a head before it will go away.

To: samm1985,
I get these from time to time. Your labia has hair folicals that can become inflamed or even infected. It is not uncommon for a pocket of pus to form. The remedy is warm sitz baths or warm compresses to draw out the infection. If that doesn't work, your gyn can lance it for you.

Thank you for the info. but the small hard bump is at the virgina entrance inside. I have been taking a variety of vitamins lately and thought maybe it could have cause the bump. I am 58 years old and not sexually active, been celibit for many years.
