test results

i recently had a cancer screening test done at labcorp...everyhting came back within range or normal except for the glucose, serum was high with a 107 the range was 65-99.  and my phosphorus, serum was low with a 2.4 the range was 2.5-4.5....are these results anything to be that concerned about since they are so close and what do they mean in realtion to possible cancer?  if not why was i tested for it in a cancer screening test?

thanks for your help and time

Hi!  I can answer some info regarding why they ordered some of the tests, but I am not v familiar with any additional tests they ordered....

the blood glucose is not that high, especially if you ate something recently. before getting the test done (that test would indicate diabetes if the results were higher)

I am not sure what type of cancer screening they did, but the results you are talking about is part of a routine CBC & when doctors order a multitude of tests, they usually start with this one.

It has a lot of different things they can see just from one panel of results, so it can be  a gateway, so to speak, to see what other additional tests may need to be ordered depending on the abnormalities seen.
