26% cardiac calcuim

with test scoring of 26% cardiac calcium, already on low-dose aspirin, lipitor for cholestrol,  what else is suggested?

You should have carotid medial intimal thickening performed. What is your weight and height. You are focusing on medicinal treatments. I think the more important role of these diagnostic test is motivation to alter our lifestyle behaviors, diet, exercise.

Alternating days of tread (3 miles), mixed with weights and band stretches.  He is male, 59, and 191 lbs.   Evening meal typically 7-7:15pm, moderately healthy and always a salad.  2 small glasses of wine almost daily.    Very aware of what is being eaten and food 'values'.         Follow-up with Dr to discuss further in a few weeks.  Wondering how concerned we should be and 'proposed' treatment suggestions.

The calcium score means very little as an isolated value. It should be interpreted as a small component of the overall risk profile. ie, no treatment is suggested from that value alone.
