I'm so sorry you lost your BamBam. It sounds like he had an abcess. Kitties can get them from many things, and usually they swell and if it is in a good place the abcess with open and seep and you will be able to clean it, but you should always take the kitty in, as they may need to have more drainage to clear the infection as well as antibiotics. My Kitty liked to take on things bigger than herself when she was younger and usually got bit on the behind when running away, usually from raccoons, silly girl. So she would get swollen and she would get lethargic. Once she got the meds and drained, she was fine.
I'm so sorry you lost your kitty. Losing a furry companion is always sad. This happened rather quickly to him while he was just a baby. You did the best you could under the circumstances. My condolensces.
ah honey thats too bad!!
bam bam must have had a bad infection, anytime there is a swelling antibiotics are usually needed...so sorry for the poor little baby.
poor Bam Bam passed away late Friday night. We still do not know what happened to him but he's at peace now. We burried him beside our other cat Pebbles who passes away at age 11 to feline lukemia...thank you
