Found another Kitten . . .

My hubby is probably getting sick and tired of me finding strays on our patio and taking them in to find them homes!  LOL!!! Last year, we ended up keeping one little girl and now she's integrated into our family.  This new little boy "Charlie" is absolutely adorable.  He's a Tom cat and the vet says he's only 6 months old.  We found him on my patio last Thursday and when I went to check on him again he was gone and so I figured he found his way home.  I came home from work on Friday and my neighbor had him on her doorstep and feeding him.  I asked her if he was hers and she said "no."  She told me he belonged to a family in an apartment above us and that they could no longer afford him and so they put him out!  UGH!!!!  Anyway, she told me she could keep him that night.  The next morning I took him to the vet who said he was 6 months old based on his baby teeth that still haven't fallen out.  He's huge!  I thought he was about 9 months old.  So, we had him give him his shots, deworming and he also neutered him that night.  So, he's all ready for a new home.  In the meantime, he's with us and to be honest, I don't want to let him go!  He's too sweet! He rubs into your face.  He purrs constantly and he likes the other cats (except if they hiss at him he hisses back!).  I was worried about our male but he's been fine with him.  I realize there is always an adjustment period but not for him he walks around like he owns the place.  My Abby is having a very difficult time with him, but she's still mourning Daisy. The other cats are doing okay wtih him.

Here's the kicker - as you all know I lost my Daisy in July and I miss her tremendously.  Well, she loved to chase her own shadow and if you would make shadows on the wall she would chase those.  She knew it was us doing it, but she loved it.  I've never had a cat do that before her and I've had cats my whole life. Anyway, Sunday night, the kitten was sleeping with me.  I woke up to him jumping around my head.  HE WAS CHASING HIS OWN SHADOW.  This came on the heels of a friend saying "Janet, you should keep him, Daisy probably sent him to you."  Okay, then he comes back and sleeps on my chest the way Daisy always did and starts to nibble on my chin.  That's the same thing she always did with me.  I know many cats do these things, but there are so many simularities.  Hubby isn't too keen on keeping him and wants me to find him a home but I'm in love!

So, let's hope I win this fight!  LOL!!!!

Hugs,
Janet

Last night I was goofing around and pretended I was a cat crying.  Charlie came running into my bedroom and peeked around the door with eyes open wide!  He looked up at me and ran over and jumped on the bed and came up to sniff my lips.  He was very concerned.  I thought it was the sweetest thing.  I'm telling you these little munchins are so loving and kind!  I'm so thankful for our beautiful "furr babies!"

He is the sweetest cat!  I'm so happy and he's done a world of good for me and my depression I've been in!  WOOHOO!!!!

I think Daisy is sending you a message to keep Charlie, and you've already named him, too.  Good luck!  I think you'll win the fight to keep this little kitten.
