HISSIE NOT COMING HOME TODAY FROM THE VET AFTERALL

I just talked to the vet. Hissie has still not had a bowel movement whatsoever. The enema and stool softeners did not work. So, the vet is keeping Hissie again overnight. The vet has given Hissie more meds to help her poop. If this does not work, then the vet is going to give her another enema tomorrow. I took her to the same vet that performed the intestional surgery, as she knows her history. I know this about this vet. She will try everything in her power, before she attempts something invasive. Plus, they are very good to Hissie at this vet's office. I am trying to keep spirits up, but I am getting into panic mode here. Just trying to absorb right now, that she has not pooped still and has to stay at the vet's again. I know my poor baby is scared to death, being away from home. I know my girl. I will keep you all updated, as I learn more. Please say prayers for my baby girl. Me and my husband were just talking. It just seems so lonely and empty without Hissie here at home. And I hate more than anything, that my Hiss has to go through yet another ordeal again. I feel to blame. I should have never fed her such **** as 9 Lives. I have learned my lesson the hard way and I am now a true firm believer in proper diet. But, I just hope and pray, not at the risk of my kitty cat.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that the enemas didn't work!!  I'm very confident that the vet WILL get Hissie straightened out!  Once the vet fixes her up, all you have to do when she gets home is prevention.  I would try the natural diet and the salmon oil.  The salmon oil is very important.  I truly believe that it will save Hissie and you from dealing with this again.

I honestly don't think that you're going to lose her.  That is not something that I will say, unless I really believed it.  Stay positive and have faith.  The three of us-me, Sara, and PrettyKitty truly believe that she's going to recover!!  =D

Well this is the beagle and i am writing this for Snickers which i always have to do cuz he doesnt know how to spell........Hissie you are really lucky that you have such a good mom and dad that care about you and love you.  We have one too but sometimes we are really naughty to her and it is all Snickers fault!!!  You will be okay and sometimes we have to stay overnight at the doctor so we can get better.  We are both sending you dog and cat hugs from Minnesota..................the beagle and Snickers

Oh, no, no, no hon; you will NOT lose Hissie over this!! If the vet can't get her to evacuate, then the invasive method will definitely take all that stool out! She will survive this fiasco. Your cat is strong. Just stay positive because we all are! We're keeping you in our thoughts daily. Your cat will be fine, you'll see!!! You are NOT to be blamed for her constipation. You didn't know and God knows you want nothing but happiness for your girl. I also blamed myself a lot of times. But our animals’ downfalls only serve our determination to get them to live like true carnivores. Your cat will have that advantage, and other future cats you may have will also enjoy the benefits of a proper diet for obligate carnivores.  I just thank God that her problem isn't hairballs. I am hopeful that the enemas will work. My cats would like to send her a message.

Hissie,

This is Abby. My human says you are sick? Well, guess what, I was also sick one time. My humans were sad; but somehow I got better, and so will you. We are strong, Hissie. We are a superior race and nothing can stop us!!! Get better so your human stops crying.

Purrs, catnip, and toys to you...
                                                                                             Abby.

Hisise,

This is Dillan. Abby wasn't letting me use the keyboard. I am little so I don't understand what is wrong with you; but Abby says you'll be fine. So I say you'll be fine. I would pass by the vet in my stroller today to go see you; but my human won't let me. She says I have ringworm and it is contagious. So, from home, I am sending you more purrs!

                                                                                                       Dillan.
