Help Please!!!

Hi,

I have a cat who just turned 1 year old and has been spraying for about 1-2 months now.  If we get him neutered asap, will that stop the spraying?  He normally is a very well adjusted cat who loves everyone, but this is getting very frustrating!

Yes neutering will help a lot!  The spraying never would have started if you'd gotten him neutered earlier.

I agree. Males are not like females, in which case you'd have to wait for her to go through the complete heat cycle. With males you can do this (neuter him) any time. As soon as posible.

Once they start spraying there are never any guarantees, but in my own experience, neutering has stopped the spraying behavior almost immediately in all cases.  I have never had a cat continue to spray after they have been neutered.
