Mr Whiskey will love it! =)
Yeah I will. We are picking it up 2morrow. I just hope MR Whiskey likes it
Sounds like a plan!!
Make sure to post some pics when you're done!! Show off your handy work!! =)
I have looked at all websites that there is in Australia. The only one I liked is about $2000.
My BF is going to buy a large chicken pen and we are going to do that up. The comes with shade and allot of room for him to play around in, also a nice place for him to go to sleep and to put his water and feed, and also a place for his litter.
We are going to build tunnels and all that stuff for him and buy a new scratching post to put in his new play area.
Thanks for all the suggestions xo
yeah check out the video on that site.......they have cages 4-5'wide and 7' tall. than you can attach the tunnels that lead to more cages the possibilities are endless...oh to be rich!!.............a home built one would be much cheaper.
Years ago when we lived on a acreage my husband 'screened in' our patio deck for the cats we had than...and they loved it!!
GREAT ideas girls!!
Check out some local pet stores and other online resources, you will find portable enclosures!! Some are in the shape of a tunnel, and I'm sure there are other shapes as well.
I do like the idea of building one yourself. That would be a good family project, if you can get others on board and you all have the time!
Come on back and let us know what you find, or if you find other solutions. Other ideas would also help other people that visit this forum!! =)
I will give you a site, but this one is from Canada maybe they can lead you to other manufactures from Australia(?)
Habitat also has diagrams for 'how to build' your own....these look like super ideas. I want to get one of the smaller window units for my boys...
good luck, let us knowhow you make out ok

Cat runs can be tricky because they have to be covered. Since cats like to climb, I would make the height the largest dimension. Chain link fencing would be the best in terms of not harboring fungi outdoors, but it can be pretty expensive. Pressure treated wood would be ok too and probably less expensive. In either case, you need to make sure that it is far enough into the ground and the ground is solid enough that he can't dig out underneath it. The spacing in the fencing material needs to be large enough to provide good circulation, but not so large that he could get his head stuck. Cover part of the roof with a solid sheeting so he has a shaded area or provide something inside the run where he can get out of direct sun. Make sure the ground area is free of fertilizer and pesticides and that it doesn't contain any toxic vegatation. Make sure he always has fresh water available when he is outside.
