Kroger...never heard of that brand.
Thank you, dear for posting this. With so much going on it is hard to keep up with the recalls sometimes.

You might not have heard of Kroger if you're not on the west coast.  Kroger owns QFC and Fred Meyer chain stores on the west coast.  So, seeing the name Kroger, I know that means it is a store brand.  I will look at that post.  I'm pretty sure my brand is unaffected, but it is wise to be sure.

Thanks to jade59, she alerted me to the Kroger recall. My husband works for this grocery chain. They are a huge chain in a number of states under Kroger name. But, they also have other chains under different names as well. So, PrettyKitty1 you are most correct. Under the Kroger name the catfood is called Cats Pride. The contamination is also in their dog food.

I never used it for Hissie nor Paradise. Very low grade catfood. I feed strays and I never give it to them either.  But, I am sure with the economy and whatever, it has been sold a lot. I just hope and pray, that this does not start again with the catfood and dog food being contaminated. Many pets were lost to it just a few yrs. or so ago. It was just heartbreaking.

I just Googled this recall from Kroger. And I correct myself....it is Pet Pride Catfood, Kroger Value Catfood and Old Yeller Dog Food. Very sorry for the misinformation. I wanted to get it correct for our kitties, doggies and the pet lovers.
