Meaga colon and Death

I had, just died today, a 13 years old cat that had been diagnosed with mega colon about 7 months ago. Afterbtaking the prescribed meds witch lasted about 3 months i stopped and she seemed qhuite normal. She was going to the bathroom regularly and eating and drinking fine, 2 days ago she strted acting lethargic and not eating, I took her to the vet this mornong and they took x rays and said that she was impacted and needed to be cleaned out. They called me 10 minutes after i left and said my Kitty has died, When i went back the vet said that she had trouble breathing and her heart stopped, They tries cpr and epenephrine but she still died. The vet said it could have been many thngs that caused it. Could she have died frim Mega colon or did something else happen. I really need to know. Thank you
Randy

So sorry you lost your kitty.  I lost a cat a few years ago.  I know how heart broken you must be.

I am so sorry for your loss!  My heart aches for you.  I agree with the above ideas of what could have happened.  It's so heart breaking when we lose our fur babies!

Hugs,
Janet

appears something went wrong in their proceedure, did they give kitty some anesthetic? perhaps with age and health deteriorating condition kitty was unable to tolerate the proceedure?
I am very sorry for you're loss.
