Good for Anita!!.....and good for Teia!! ♥
When I got home today, Anita told me Teia had lap time with her again.
I think that this happening when I am not here is GOOD, Good, good!
Pip, that is indeed great news! I bet Anita was excited as well? Such progress!
Yay, to the brushing and allowing your hand on her back. I think you mentioned Teia has some knots up there so eventually, those will be gone. Slow and easy is what it takes. Jade had never been brushed, I'm sure of it, but she likes it now. I use a little flea comb in the house and concentrate on her back and down by her tail. No more Hyperethesia...for now. I have a feeling you'll be brushing Teia within a few months. So happy for you and Anita, Pip!
One other little update...Teia let me brush her today, all the way down her back, for almost 5 minutes. previously, she'd tolerate the brush only on her head and shoulders, for about 30 seconds.
She even let me rest my hand on her back at the base of her spine, which is a BIG step.
Teia is becoming more vocal, too, mewing and chirping at almost every encounter.
That is indeed my sweetheart, Anita...33 years together as on 2 February (26 June will make 29 years married).
Yes, that is Teia's pink blankie; better on top of the window seat that under the headboard of the bed.
Teia very rarely bunkers up now, just when there are loud noises outside, like thunderstorms.
When she wants some "cave time" now, smart little cat that she is...taught herself how to open the bi-fold door to the closet in the room.
It's just amazing how far Teia has come w/ yours and Anita's love!! =)
What a great update and pic!!
Thanks for sharing!
I came back for another look. It's so nice to finally see the famous Anita. I hope you will add this prize picture to your album. And isn't that Teia's pink blankie in the background next to the tv?
Hey Pip, isn't this just too exciting!!! I'm so happy for you and Anita with this wonderful and Quick progress. Quick, not as in 19mos, but the progress Teia seems to have made just the last 6mos alone. She knows she is loved and not going anywhere - you all are her forever family and she's feeling comfortable and settled. I bet Anita was thrilled! Hildie sure is a beautiful Tortie.
Thanks so much for sharing, Pip. Made my day : )
