Newborn Aspiration?

My 6 day old kitten aspirated from her bottle this morning. I immediately turned her face down and patted her on the back as she had milk in her nose. She seems to want to eat but I can still hear fluid in her nose and is very listless not the loud, hyper kitty she was. Can I try to get the fluid from her nose with a small syringe or take her to the vet and hope for the best?

There were 2 of them. The one died the day earlier. He was very sickly and I didn't figure he'd make it. This little sweetie was very hearty. Cried really loud and tried to crawl all over. My heart just broke. Thank you for you concern. I wish people would neuter their animals.

I am so sorry to hear this, u tried yr best for the little guy...wished it cld have worked out better for him. Was he the only one found? RIP baby

Thank you but we lost him/her this morning. I'm not even sure it was the aspiration that took him. He wasn't having any bowel movements and stomach was distended. He had gone regularly on previous days.Tried everything but nothing worked. The conditions in which we found him probably didn't help either--he was very cold.

We had already fallen in love with that little baby. Thank you so much for responding.

Hi, I am so sorry that nobody could reply until now.  I hope your kitten is doing better now!!  If she's not, then I would rush her to the vet.  I am very concerned that she is listless.  Their lives are so fragile when they're that young.
