a write up of an extraordinary cat who lives in a nursing home and appears to know when people are about to die, he will go to them any lay on the bed next to them until after they are gone....
there is a book written by Dr. Dosa called 'MAKING ROUNDS WITH OSCAR' and now sounds like there maybe a movie too....

Thanks Opus for bringing this extraordinary cat and his story to the attention of everyone.

I read Oscar's story: first in New England Journal of Medicine, then checked out book from library when it hit the NYT's best seller list.  Disclaimer: book is collection of stories of end stage Alzheimer's disease...but there is plenty about Oscar too.

Thanks to Dr. Dosa for giving the world an idea of the mysterious powers of our beloved cats!

I knew about Oscar. Isn't he cute? :-) I watched a TV show on Animal Planet about him. He is so fluffy!

It's a very interesting story.  I also saw something about this cat on Animal Planet!
