Owner with female cats

Hi all,

My 10 months old female cat has a big lump in between her back legs (tummy).  She has been desexed.  I'm not sure it is fat or organ or a tumor?  It's soft.  I can see underneath her fur, the colour is pink.  It is about 8 or 9 cm wide.  Really big piece.  She is fat.  Eat well, play well.  Like to climb up and down.  Falls a lot.  Runs very very fast and very smart.  Fur is very soft, flurry, no hair balls.

The owner of female cats...... Can you check your cats and see is there a big lump under between her back legs?  Please post here and let me know even if it is "No".

Hi,  I took Eiva to the vet last week.  The vet checked her out.  He explained very clear to me.  I might share with you all.

First, he thought it might has 3 posibilty for that big lump.  Cancer, water retention or fat.  Felt her back, yes - with muscle and bone so it wasn't cancer.  If cancer, it only bony.  No muscle or meat around the bone.  He checked her throat, mouth and saw Eiva has a pinky nose.  Listening to her heart.  Sound very normal.  He confirmed is not heart disease.  Circulation good.  Confirm it is FAT!

Now I let her go out - Wild.  She climbs up high but want us to get her down.  She falls a lot but still want to climb.  She didn't eat as much as before.  She becomes a choosy eater.

I'm thinking hernia.  Take her to the vet.  Good luck!

Is your female cat also has a big lump (like a thick soft skin) underneath?  Very possible is fat but I'll take her to the vet.  Thanks for the responding.

How recently was she spayed?  A lump is not normal.  It could be any of the things you mentioned.  It could also be infection from her spay surgery if that has been recent or it could a hernia.  You should take her to your vet to narrow down the possibilities.
