Tumor on my kitty's toe

I have a 14 year old cat name Little Kitty who has a huge tumor on a toe on her front right paw, it has grown out of her toe pad and is bloody on the bottom.  It's most likely cancerous & the vet is recommending a biopsy so we can see what type we're dealing with.  Right now she's had a long lasting antibiotic injection and I'm giving her pain med. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this.  I really really don't want to lose her BUT I don't want to put her through a lot of procedures if she's going to end up not making it.  Possible amputation of the toe or paw was mentioned but I don't think I would do that to her, if she were younger maybe.  I'm beside myself though because she's my girl and it devastates me to think I might lose her.
Thanks

That is such wonderful news!!  I've been following your post and I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that the tumor can easily be removed and her chest is clear.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate all the info.  I took my Little Kitty to the vet again last night and he aspirated some cells but the happy news is x-rays showed there is no involvement in her bone or chest and he said he most likely can remove it without her even losing a toe but he might have to sew two together.
I really appreciate the support
