Ya I'd say show it to a vet. I'm sure it's nothing seruise but could effect her overall health if left untreated. I hope she's not in any pain or discomfort. I hate seeing cats that don't feel well cuz they can never tell you were it hurts.

is the freckle dark, and is the cat orange? for some reason, orange cats can get black spots on their gums and nose for no reason. they're harmless.

Hi, any kind of discolored freckle/mole inside the mouth that grows/changes needs to be checked out by a doctor.....that goes for people, too!  Not trying to scare ya, but melanomas can happen in the mouth.

Good luck!

It *might* be a tick.  I've never seen a tick on an animal, but that's what comes to mind.  Could also be something kitty was born with and is growing along with her.  My suggestion would be to take kitty to the vet just to make sure it's nothing serious.
