Recently Luffs had worms, well i havnt obviously had the money for a vet visit. But now i'm saving up. Because today when luff took a poo on the carpet (accident cause bathroom door was closed) There was...blood in it. Quite alot. I called the vet they told me they have to do a test and a fecal test aswell. Gods i hope poor luffs ok. I dont think i can take anymore drop dead felines ):

Anything similar happen to anyone? If so what did it end up being?

Hi, I just got over the same thing your going thru!!!! My kitty Momma had worms (later I came to find out it was Tape Worms). It was getting so bad they were coming out of her bum also. So I HAD to take her to the animal hospital witch is far more expensive than vet mind you. The doc said she had tape worms and that they come from fleas usually. I believe she said they live in the flea eggs! So she gave me pills to shove down Mommas gullet, cause we all know cats are the hardest to administer pills to.I got one pill for the fleas(but only a 24 hour pill??) and a pill for the worms. To make a long story short....LOL, I havent seen anymore worms BUT she still has fleas!!! OH, and doc also said NOT to give pets those OTC meds from Wal-Mart or PetsPlus etc. she aid they could be toxic!!! That you should get from your vet. All in all the hospital visit cost $165 but it was $85 just for the emergency visit!! So I hope I shed some light on your issue. =^;^=

UUUGGGHHH!!  Luffy was smart and realized that it was in his food.  Some cats are slick like that.  I'm not sure if the anti-worm meds come in any other form or not-there's just got to be something that you don't have to sneak in his food.  I wish I could remember the treatment I had to use on mine.  It was a long time ago!!  If I remember later, I'll definitely let ya know!

BTW, tapeworms are from fleas, and maybe there are some in your apt somewhere.  Roundworms are another possibility that your kitty has.  Do ya know which worm your cat has?  Tapeworms look like grains of rice that are stuck to the booty area!  The roundworms are much longer and bigger, and you can see it in a cat's vomit.

That would also help you find the best over the counter worm treatment.  Sorry, I should have brought that up to ya earlier, but I just thought of that!!

And dali he isnt allowed out side at all. I think he may have gotten worms from getting into the dirty dishes :/

Ok so i went to petsmart...upon them being SOOOO over charged...I went to walmart and got some stuff called rid worm

it removes roundworms and you put it in their food.
I bought some wet food and mixed it in for luffy, and he just threw it all up....
Now what?

I hope to God that your kitty doesn't have leukemia!  I'll pray for you both!!  PLEASE don't go assuming the worst!!  Try the worm remedy and see what happens!

I'm so sorry about your cat hun. Is he allowed to get out? If not, how could he have possibly got infested with worms?

I'm so worried about him...I dont even know if he has lukimiea...I'm actually affraid to get him tested.

Hopefully god gives me a chance and dosnt take my son from me...he's already taken three loving animals from me....It makes me want to go to church to see if he'll stop taking my happiness away :/

Well, that does sound like tape worms.  I didn't know it caused bleeding!  The "pasta" comment-LOL-was pretty much the dead-give away!

I think they sell over the counter worm remedies for cats.  Have you seen it?  You could try Petsmart or another pet place.

I saw a bunch of worms in his stool today.
And we've been seeing them wriggle out his little bum. I usually wipe him up with TP.

They look like pasta. Cream white colored.

He's acting energetic and mostly the same. My friend says she hasnt seen him eat much today, but i'm not sure.

I don't know hon-I don't think this is worms.  Never heard of worms causing blood in the stool. I usually see tape worms in it-not blood.  Well, I could be wrong.  Have you actually seen any worms?  How is Luffy acting-playing, eating, etc?

I'll be thinking of you-GOD knows you've been through way too much with your kittys the past few months!
