They're both indoor cats but boots has got out once before and this was the first time neive got out too.
Will let you know her progress
Yup! Vets trip---If she is loosing weight and peeing in inappropriate places, then the Neive problem may be a problem with Boots. Good that you are checking her out. Funny, I thought Boots was a male.
If it is a health problem with Boots, no sense keeping Neive indoors now--she has already done the DEED, LOL!
If Neive and Boots are allowed outside, it is really important you have them both spayed. This can't be their first litters, and there are already so many kittens given up to rescues, they are bursting at the seams.
Let us know how Boots does at the vets, K?

OK so for the past few days I have tried to keep Neive in but it's proven difficult with it being so hot I can't keep the windows shut and she keeps escaping. Boots has now started peeing on my towels!!! They stink of ammonia so had throw a lot of them away, she has never ever done this even as a kitten she never had an accident any where she has always gone in her tray, I've also noticed she isn't eating and is losing weight. I'm really worried about her..... I got her when I was going through a really rough time, she really is my best friend but I'm so frustrated with her attacking Neive (and the dog now) and now peeing where she shouldn't.... vets trip I think
Xx
Yup. She doesn't have her normal scent anymore.
You should try brushing both cats with the same brush to help them "smell" the same. You can also go to the pet store and buy some Feliaway. That helps to calm cats down. It definitely works! I used the plug-ins!
aww there you have it, its not only scent she's picked up from the outdoor cats its also a change in her own hormones...Boots can smell the change in scent..
please look into having her spayed....:)
Nature takes it's course, LOL!
Perhaps you would consider spaying Nieve????
Sending you best wishes for an easy birth!

Thank you. Yea I have the date saved in my phone I'm pretty sure neive will be having kittens as she was in season!!
I won't be rushing to get rid as they're both my babies I just don't want them fighting to the point one gets hurt.
Thanks again
>>>>>>>>OR if Nieve is a little girl she could have had a few nights with an unsavory male, and Boots is not real happy about that. If she is not spayed....well Congratulations Grandma. You are not the only one having a baby kit!!!
Either way things will settle down. Please do not rush into letting one of you cats go. Give it some time.
....and Congratulations on your new Baby!!
Right now Neive is just smelling strange to Boots....like after a Vet trip, remember cats don't recognize each other by sight like we do...it's all on scent. Keep her indoors within a day or two the smell of other cats she's been in contact with will go away and she'll smell like herself again and they will once again be buddies
