Assertive Teia
For supper tonight, I dished out something different for each of the girls, thinking they'd like what they usually liked...
Apparently Teia liked what Hildie had on her plate better and slowly moved forward until Hildie backed away.
So Hildie got Teia's bowl, while Teia ate off Hildie's plate.

I participated in Medieval - Renaissance period historical recreation for a quarter century portraying Alasdair Morgan of Clan Gunn a mid 14th century Scots-Welsh bowman and cook. (Society for Creative Anachronism)
Alasdair spent 10 years as a retainer to Edward of Woodstock, Prince of Wales, later called the Black Prince.
He then spent several years as a mercenary in southern France and northern Italy, finally landing his current job as bodyguard and cook to a Greek merchant headquartered in Pisa.
One day, Alasdair dreams, he will have enough gold and silver laid by to return home and buy a small farm.
As the coat of arms awarded to Alasdair upon being elevated to a minor lordship for his service has upon it as the main image a Highland wild cat (or Catamount), the farmhouse (or grange) he wants to build would have the catamount as its badge.
Hence, Catamount Grange.

Not only has Ms Teia come such a long way in 3yrs, but you and Anita as well. Hard work coming out of a PTSD. Proud of all of you! Hugs~
Catamount Grange sounds appropriate Pip.. wow 3 years I can't believe it, I remember when you first got her just abt the time I first came here...so her and I were newbies.
Teia is finally at a place in life where she can finally learn her own strengths, doesn't make you both feel proud to see whats she's blossomed into..it should♥

I think Hildie was very puzzled, as this is the first time Teia has moved in like this.
It was funny, Teia just sniffed her bowl and then did that "testing the breeze" thing kitties do and slowly walked up to the offside of Hildie's plate. When Hildie sat back with that quizzical look she gets, Teia started chowing down. So, Hildie got Teia's bowl of chicken, instead of the turkey on her plate, which Hildie didn't seem to mind, not being a picky eater.
Teia is becoming more self-confident, but still has her bouts of timidity. We still do not know for sure her 10 1/2 year back story, only the 2 year 11 month time with us.
That's right folks, 1 month from tomorrow will be 3 years Miss Teia Honey has been part of the crew here at Catamount Grange, which is the nickname I've had for our home since 1983 .
