reaction to rabies shot??

we just took our cat to get her rabies shot, today she is lethargic, wont eat, and for the first time ever she growled at me... is this normal?? are there any other signs i should look for?

please help...seriously worried about her...

Hi, I totally agree with Jade.  The rabies vaccine does make our kitties feel lethargic, grumpy, and unwilling to eat.  I know it's worrisome, but you should see improvement soon.  In fact, you should see some improvement now.  Are things improving?

Hi Kristie...this is a normal reaction, yes.  This vaccine can make our kitties feel very ill for a few days.  You can try encouraging eating with some treats or a tiny bit of tuna juice.  She should start perking up by the 48hr mark.  

Hugs; it'll be okay.  I'm not sure who is more distressed after a rabies shot, our cat or us.
