Cervical Cancer again, in abdominal area? Chemo Risks?

Hello, any information would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
I have another cancerous tumour - adenocarcinoma, that is now 3x3x4 cm. It has been pressing on the obturator nerve in my left leg (where I had minor lyphedema in the groin thigh area due to lymphectomy / surgery in 2005)

The symptoms (weakness in leg, pain at night) began in March 2009, and now finally after MONTHS of trying to figure out what was causing it, we know it's a tumour. So far the oncologists think I will need chemo and radiation, surgery may not be an option this time, as it seems the tumour is stuck near the hip bone.

I have questions about chemo, radiation and any positive effects and outcomes people have experienced.

I am terrified of more lymphedema, as that was hard to deal with, being an athlete and dancer type.
Will chemo or radiation put me at risk for more struggles in this area?
I am so scared my life will change for the worse... trying to learn a lesson here... but still scared I may not me resilient enough to go through with another challenge like this.
