Vaccine for cervical cancer

I was just wondering if the vaccine for cervical cancer is still efficient even after having already had sexual intercourse?

It depends if you already have any of the HPVs the vaccine (guardisil, right?) protects against. It protects against two of the most common genital wart HPVs and two of the most common cancer causing HPVs. If you already have one of those strains, it won't protect you or cure you but it will protect against the strains you don't have.

yes, It will protect you if you still dont have the disease/ strain of the infection. but if you already have it is too late. Its preventive in nature and not curative.. Gaurdisil by GSK
