Hi,
ACx4 followed by taxol is one of the standard regimens for adjuvant treatment of node positive breast cancer.
As per current evidence only ACx4 (without taxol) would place you at a higher risk for disease recurrence. Your big initial tumor size of T2 is a risk factor. The fact that the tumor is hormone receptor positive is a good prognostic factor.
Radiation therapy is also indicated in your case since you have had a breast conserving surgery and node positive disease.
All the best, and God Bless!
Dr. Saini,
Thank you for your advice, my tumor size was 2.1 cm. I still feel strong about not getting de taxotere (before I wrote that I was getting Taxol but i'ts not) what is the percentage of recurrance. I'm going to have radiation my problem is with taxotere
Thank you
Maria
Hi Maria,
FAC x 6 is another alternative you can discuss with your doctor if you do not want a taxane.
FAC is reasonably well tolerated.
What is the HER2Neu status?
All the very best.
