LOL..I know..I went to Forks, WA last summer and I was so excited b/c they sold coolers right at your neighborhood store (I'm from Canada..they don't do that here)! So on a whim I decide to buy a case and I only have cash in my pocket and the guy cards me!!! I mean I know that it's 21 there but still...I pointed to my (then 11) year old son and said "really?? Do you realize this is my son??"

The guy got all embarrassed and let me leave with the coolers..

It was hilarious!

LOL..pretty much...

I feel like I am in the right age group now with my 3rd at 3yrs old...I tell other parents at playgroup etc..that I have a 12 year old and they look at me like they think I was pregnant at 15. I look a lot younger than I am...which I hated in my teens...but I am enjoying it now..especially when I walk like I'm 80..at least I don't look it..lol.

well my DH is 26 (27 next month) but he was used to the single life..working out of town. he loved the travel and spending money lol. I'm glad i had them young because like you said with our health issues its hard to even think of having more babies. Think about it this way you're 33 but compared to all the other mommas i bet you're the youngest !! its a plus lol

LOL..when I told my DH (fiance at the time) I think he almost fainted...I was only 20 and he was 24...so not really in that frame of mind yet.

It was a struggle for us too, starting out so young and we didn't have careers or anything laid out b4 us yet. But, in the end I am glad it happened that way b/c it gave us the time to have 2 more and space them apart...so now I have a 12 yr old, 8yr old and 3yr old and I'm only 33!! Plus, with my health issues now, I could have never seen having babies at this point. So I count my blessings...and my son was the absolutely best thing that happened in my life (as well as the other two of course)!

I'm glad it all worked out for you too :)

well i donate on a regular basis but there have been times i didnt feel too good and wondered if it was bc of chiari or just cause it drained me. they do have the CM on file and gave me the ok..but you know ..THEY dont really KNOW. last year i tried. ...they asked me if there could be a chance of me being pregnant and i said..no.(i was in denial)..but then i said ok i need to admit there might be so they denied me becuase of the suspicion..and guess what..I WAS lol.

I agree...u may be ok  as far as not passing nething on, but i t may cause u to be overly lightheaded than most.

They do a screening process to be a donor, if they felt u were not  qualified they will tell u...such as there is a weight requirement as well. We did a drive at work and a few of the ladies r short and small built but that is normal for them, but they did not weight 100...so were not allowed....u can see if u pass the criteria....and just take ur time later to be sure u r ok.

The last large blood work I had done was just prior to my PFD...and let me tell u they took 12 or more tubes.....I thought for sure I would pass out, but I felt fine...not sure how much that is in comparison, but....I am not sure I could have given much more.

I commend u as well for ur thoughtful gift : )

I wouldn't think so other than the fact that it might make you feel a little more lightheaded so just be careful with that. I would mention it when you go in though. Good for you for donating!!
