I am Asperger and was recently diagnosed with Chiari malformation. I read somewhere on the net that the two might be related! I have an Asperger daughter as well should I ask my doctor to have her getting and MRI?
Anybody else who have a family member or are themself Asperger (or autiste) and Chiari who can share their experence with me?
Hi Drew...it is all still being researched as to how these are all related and or linked....but I am very curious as I have a nephew that has Aspbergers too, I also have a cousin that has spina bifida....I have family members with bipolar...an Aunt and 2 cousins, same side as the spina bifida cousin....
My nephew with Aspbergers has a brother with bad HA's which I can not get then to get him tested....but, when u have a family history and ne symptoms I feel it is wise to do.
My Nephew with Aspbergers does not show signs of chiari like his brother does tho.....
Thank to answer me. I'll keep doing reserches and as soon I have an apointment with my MD, I'm gonna ask her all kind of questions and tried to have my daughter tested.
I'm very woried, I can't wait to meet with the neurosurgeon. I'm gonna have to make a list of question to ask. Is there any one I should realy ask. If you can help me with this it would be very apreciated.
