After a fall today I had a rest, and then behold -- somewhere, somehow, moments of lucidity, and verbage. I stole the moments with pen in hand, and offer you, my new friends and family this token.

Have you seen my phone?
I lost my keys.
I can’t find the word.
Will you help me, please?

I’ve fallen again.
But I’ll be okay.
Can’t get off this ship.
It’s starting to sway.

I used to be smart.
I ran the whole show.
Now my brain just won’t play.
Problems with flow.

My big pregnant brain
Is going to burst,
Unless it can find
A way out of me first.

Where did my sweet
Husband’s helpmate go?
And our kids’ playful Mom?
Bet they wanna know.

It’s so strange to look
In doctors’ baffled faces.
To get any real help
Means finding far-off places.

The thing has a name.
It’s said, “Kee-ah-ree”.
Now I know what I have,
But it doesn’t have me.

I fell yesterday too and paying for it today, can't seem to focus on anything but walking and sometimes, although careful, I forget and fall. No matter how hard u try it slips ur mind sometimes!

Thank you for your responses. I was nervous to share at first, but I keep seeing that this is a place where we seem to get each other's predicament, and that is something hard for me to find these days.
Like Selma said in her 10 Things not to say to Chiarians, when they say, "I know how you feel", they really dont. But you do, and I appreciate having a place where I don't have to explain myself. Thank you for being so accepting.

Thank you so much for the kind remarks. Isn't it funny how our loved ones really need to hear someone else say the same things before they really get that our experience is real, that all of the weird things we are going through are the same weird things that all the rest of us are going through.
