We ended up pulling our DD from her school instead of fighting it out for 8 weeks. We felt that someone had to end the drama so it might as well be us. My mom said that they probably have to say they are willing to accept special needs children so that they will not lose their federal funding; even if they are not actually equipped to deal with all types of children. We have lots of exciting plans for her after we move. I've already spoken to a couple potential schools and found one that we think would suit her really well. I can only work in the evenings now when my DH is home. I don't get to see him as much as I'd like, but it's not permanent.

Not only does she have loving parents, but she also has a very loving aunt who helped make this decision.  That would be me!

I think you were right to pull her from school instead of fighting it out.It sounds like your Mom knew what she was saying and they would lose their funding, doesn't sound right to me .,they shouldn't say they are equipped to deal with all types of children if its not true .but sometimes you cut your losses ...Exciting plans sounds great and positive thinking ,your daughter has great and caring parents .well done ..
