What's the average height and weight of a 6 year old boy and girl?

Both boys and girls who are six years old and at the 50% are approximately 45 inches tall and weigh 44/45 pounds. But remember, children show variability and I am noting the figures at the 50%.

my child is 7 years and 97 pounds,50 inches i am really worried about my childs health. doc said just 3 meals a day and they will be fine.  Do you think i need to put my child on a diet?

While your child's height, at approx. the 80%, is in the normal range, the weight is 30 pounds beyond the 95% and this is a problem. It's probably worth obtaining a second opinion about this, or at the very least having some workups done to rule out any endocrine or metabolic problem. At the very least, if all else is OK medically, consultation with a nutritionist relative to the daily diet would make sense.

My son is only 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds and is 3 and a half feet tall.  We had his thyroid checked and his t4 came back low.  He currently has an appointment with a endrocornologist this week, so I hope everything goes well.  Good luck with your son.
