How to help my 7 year old?

We have been through so much in the last 2 years we have know it since he was born but finally got help at 5 when he entered school age- I know this will hit many many people what to do? I have thought many times why and we are suppose to have? Well no child is ever in this category. We were always knew our son was special well that made us feel better. He is amazing but the pain supersedes the amazing most the time-
He has been asked not to come back to three schools I guess when your nice and good people that is how they tell you to get out and not come back- What do you do when your son does not fit between the four walls you pay for in your taxes I joke because that is all I can do. Our son has been hyper since day one he was born with his eyes opened ready for the world our doctor said this is a first. Head held up two hours in and always strong my husband immediately said your son as strong as they come- He has always been a screamer. I am goinf to give the whole story sorry it is a story- Day one where is our new born? We had a three year old- At six months he was almost walking- At 1 1/2 he had his first head injury ran out of a shower busted his head on a concrete floor immediate vomiting racing to the emergency room they sent us home- From two to three he was just a screamer we just assume very vocal. Ear tubes tonsils and adenoids removed at 2. another head injury at three and a half jumping backwards off the couch onto an amp EMT s arrived cleaned him up no hospital gash in the back of the head. He went to three schools all tried I get it he was not nice to other kids or teachers. He beats up on me and dad we did everything we knew to do nothing works. We bought every help thing we could read it tried it processed it. At age 5 we finally started therapy well sorry but joke is joke maybe it is where we are but what happened to working with kids. I just do not understand I am not in the medical field but really- Medication started nothing has worked well to the extent that I am hoping for. Well my son has gained 20 pounds I guess they really do not care about that. My husband and I are very well fit and this hurts no one seems to care. In December of 2014 we had the worst day of our lives my son hurt me and I could no longer handle it he was institutionalized for 5 days we almost did not get him home for Christmas. How do you handle the way your child talks acts and thrives when they are nothing you are or teach? We love our son more than anything in the world we are now having to home school which is horrible I love to work that is me it is really hard to have a child under your feet 24/7. I keep asking myself why why me what did I do how did I do it how do I fix it. Answers are seeking two days ago I took my son off the massive amount of medication he is on thinking they don't help I guess maybe they do a little bit how do you handle when your baby says kill me. He does not know what he says I get that but where and how does a baby get an idea that you will never understand. Everyday I have a positive attitude that  everything will get better because the sad truth is that there is not much help for children with problems that no one can help you with. I am happy to answer questions or anyone who has lived through this you look for a gleam of hope or help. The doctors refuse to diagnosis my son with anything I get that he is only seven and I guess I really do not want my son titled with something that I have to accept maybe that is the most selfish thing I'll say. One baby one life help with anything I can get. As I said in the beginning I know I'm not the only one and that is the only thing that helps but I also know how hard it is for anyone to talk about their baby. If anything just ask it is the hardest most heart straining thing you will ever do and it is just fine to be doing it with tears streaming down your face It means you care. Just the beginning.  They need help and if there is a way talking about it helps.

Wow, I feel for you.  Nobody should have to being going through that.   I do tend to wonder what kind of doctors you have been seeing.  Hopefully, a pediatric psychiatrist, and not just a pediatrician or a psychologist?
I am also the CL on the ADHD forum here - http://www.medhelp.org/forums/ADD---ADHD/show/175
Many of the symptoms sound like ADHD, but I would assume that has been looked at?  The next question would involve medications.  Did they ever try either Prozac or Paxil with a stim med?  That will many times lead to a very bad reaction down the line as the Prozac/Paxil will cause the stim meds to backup and overload the person.   Anyway, what meds have been tried?  When you said massive doses - I really got concerned.  When you mentioned weight gain, I thought of Resperdal.  Not a favorite medication of mine - has lots of side effects and a few law suits now on going. Many times, the meds are too much and causes more problems.   It does take trial and error to get it right, but that takes good communication between the parents and the doctor.  If the doc and you are not talking weekly, then its not happening.
He should (actually, must) have either an IEP or a 504 plan at school.  You can't kick a kid out of a public school due to their medical problems.
I am not sure I can help - I mean you have talked to the experts.  But, it does make me wonder what kind of docs you have been talking to?  And what is the school system doing to help?
Opps, just reread your post.  You have home schooled him since Dec. 2014?  So you have been doing this all on your own?   Have you visited the special ed schools in your public school system or had any interviews with the special education department?   This definitely is an area you need to explore.
