Is it abnormal to masterbate before age of 5

Before the age of 5 I rubbed my thighs together and it felt so good that I kept doing it. One day my mother caught me and asked what I was doing and I told her I was exercising.  Now as an adult, I realize that I was doing female thigh masturbation/which I still do, and enjoy thoroughly with or without a partner. In fact, with my partner, he finds it quite exciting to watch me do this, as he had never heard of it. After goggling female masturbation techniques I found that it was, indeed, quite acceptable and pleasurable. But, was it abnormal at the age of 5?
