should spouse question my disapline

SHOULD MY SPOUSE CORRECT ME IN FRONT OF MY STEPCHILD WHEN I CORRECT THE CHILD OR DOES THIS GIVE THE CHILD MORE AMMO TO WALK ALL OVER ME? THATS WHAT IMPRESSION I PERSONALLY THINK IT GIVES THE CHILD,AND HE SEEMS TO ACT OUT EVEN MORE WHEN HE KNOWS MOMS GOING TO BAIL HIM OUT EVERYTIME. IS THIS A NORMAL THING?

I really do not want to be drawn into a quarrel between you and your wife. It should go without saying that parents support each other in front of children and hash out their differences through private discussions.

I am a big fan of leaving the discipline to the biological parent and asking them how you can  help in the process.  A lot less problems that way.
