11 yr old with Spastic CP

My son has been seeing a chirop. for spinal networking. He has Spastic Diplegic CP. He's been going the past 8 mos with hope that the treatments may help his spine (Scoliosis) and his posture a little and also he says he can help reduce the Enuresis. He also has degenerated disks in his neck -no one knows why- but my son has awful headaches all the time and occasionally has a disk slip out and pinch nerve in his neck and shoulder.  The dr has been excellent about the neck and my son says he feels great after his session (2x a week) His headaches are gone and because of his neck he's helped us with issues at home like not using pillows at night ect. But all the other things are not making any changes. How long will it take for some results?  We dont have much money and #300 for 6 weeks is alot for us out of pocket - is this going to be worth it in the long run?  Help!!

If the chiropractor is performing regular progress exams to monitor your son's progress and can demonstrate continued improvement, I'd say keep at it.

If, however, he's not demonstrating objective improvements, then it's probably just going to be something that helps his headaches.

Can you clarify part of your question for me... at the top you said you've been receiving care for 8 months, but at the end of the message you implied that you are paying 300 for 6 weeks of care... Can you explain what you mean?

Yes, Im sorry. I pay $250-$300 every 6-8 weeks for his treatments - it's a package (cash paying) discount because his insurance doesn't cover anything for "experimental treatment".         We've been going the past 8 months.
