Do I need surgery or not ?

Hello,
I'm not sure is this is the right place to post this or not.
my MRI says:
Impression:
Degenerative Disc Disease at L5-S1 Present with Disc Bulging and Broad Based Central Disc Protrusion Between the S1 Roots. Acute Annular Tear Suggested.

I was told last Friday that I was borderline emergency back surgery & yesterday I was told I did'nt need surgery.
I have alot of lower back/left hip pain & burning. Sharp pains in my lower back/left hip. The pain goes down my left leg & I get a tingling feeling in my left leg all the way to my foot.

Thank your for reply'in to my post. My doctor & the chiropractor are the ones that mentioned borderline emergency surgery.
The doctor is the one who changed his mind about the needing surgery. The chiropractor said I still need to see a neurosurgeon.
Thanks again for your reply. I am in the process of try'in to find someone in my area that will be able to help me.
Again thank you......God Bless you & take care

I cannot comment on your need for surgery through an internet forum. However, if a surgeon felt it was an emergency case, you'd have had surgery by now. Since you haven't, you might consider alternative treatments, such as chiropractic care.
