MRI results- Is this why I am in so much pain???

I have had upper back strain/pain for many years. I finally got my MRI results back because I had another flare up and the doctors don't really seem to believe me. here is the summary of the report:

c2-3normal
c4-5 Incipient anterior osteophytic spurring is seen
c5-6 There is a loss of disc space height. Posterior annular bulging is seen that mildly indents the ventral thecal sac, Anterior spurring is seen
c6-7a 1mm central disc protrusion is seen that mildly indents the ventral thecal sac

by the end of the day sometimes i start hyperventilating and freaking out because my upper shoulder/back mucles feel like they are getting shorter and shorter.

I've yet to go the the doc to talk with him about the results ( which i fully plan on!) but was wondering if these things could possibly be a large source of pain?

i read my mom the list and she said that is exactly what she had except she let it go so far that her disk ruptured? if i treat for this now is it less likely I will suffer that fate?

Im just looking for some releif and no future surgerys.

Thanks

Veilanna,

It's possible that structural stress between the head and neck has caused/contributed to the development of your health problem. I would suggest visiting a cervical specialist. I skimmed over the Longwood area and found Dr. Steve Racine nearby in Winter Park. Here's his website - www.drracine.com.

thank you so much Adam Tanase D.C. for replying to my comment with useful advice...I really appreciate it!

I am looking into the specialist. I went to a injury mid fl rehab facility and they finally helped me with the pain for the month. I am AMAZED someone listened to me, here and @ the docs office. Doctors whom listen are few and far between.

FIVE STARS to you. Thanks from your internet "patient" - you are appreciated.
