Rotated disc

My back hurts, went to Chiropractor and she said I had a rotated disc. I have not fallen or hurt back in anyway. How did the disc get rotated?

Nick,

Vertebral discs don't rotate. Spinal segments, however, have a limited degree of movement, allowing them to appear rotated on xray, but the disc itself doesn't move independently of the vertebrae above/below it.
