Can my positive test for gonorrhea be false?

I first got diagnosed with gonorrhea in september of 09. i figured i got it from my boyfriend because i have only been with him since late july of 09..but he got tested and it was negative. so we both got treated anyway because i was positive.. so i still had symptoms so i went back about a month later and i still had it..so me and my boyfriend got tested again and i had it and he didnt again!? i have not cheated or anything and he isnt lying about being negative becus i seen it with my own eyes. so we got treated again..i went back a month later to get retested and it was negative then i went back another month later and i was still negative..so i finally felt free of this awful disease. well i went back about a week ago and i tested postive..well its weird becus i havent slept with anyone else! and either has my boyfriend.. and i dont even think he had it in the first place! so i wonder if it could be anyway that my postive test was wrong..or if it is possible that BOTH of his negative test were false..this is so confusing and i would really like to know..

Oh yeah..me and my boyfriend went at the same time yesterday to get treated and the doctor didnt understand why either and she even verified that he was negative because we go to the same doctor. it does not make sense!

and another thing..me and my boyfriend would like to know if we are likely to be infertile now? i have had it for at least 10 months..and my boyfriend have had it for unknown..because idk if he really ever had it..but the thing is, is that i didnt have it before him!

It is possible to get false results but multiple times, is kind of weird.  Is he testing by swab or urine?

He should try testing by swab.  Swab is the best though urine is pretty accurate.
