MY age is 40, height 5' 7'', weight 83 KG, obesity is in family but i play squash daily and walk 30 minutes
daily but my weight does not reduce nor increase.
my cholesterol levels are.

one doctor says start medicines as your are already active but your cholesterol is and bp is bit high.
one doctor says your HDL is good so need for statin and doctor says just use apple vinegar and olive oil extra virgin in salad and i am doing it. i dont consume more fat in my diet.
my parents has passed away, they had problem of cardio but no heart attack.
i am not smoker nor drinker.

I agree with erijon, given family history you might investigate taking a statin.  I have aggressive heart failure, and my Dr. asks me to keep my LDL under 75.

I would get another opinion as even with your high HDL, your ratio to LDL is still to high. The fact that your parents had heart issues means your LDL should be under 100.

See another doctor to be safe.

"your HDL is good so need for statin" If you mean "no need for Statins" I'd agree with your doctor.

Hey Jawid, im new to this whole thing, so cant answer you sorry, but my doc just prescribed me Lipitor for my high cholesterol.
He also mentioned high blood pressure and said i cant take meds if its too high.
But, i never have high blood pressure.
Ive never been a big person, but the past 12 months, ive gone from a Aussie size 6 to a size 14 and put on 35 kilos.
Im 36 and also 5.7 and 86 kilos now.
I will be really interested in your responses as i havent got one myself.
Take care : )
