Does the medical profession REALLY know all there is about high cholesterol? I am in my 50’s and I have been told my LDL numbers are high. My cholesterol has been high all my life and even higher in the past due to some high stress life-choices. I eat healthy food; however, I eat more servings than I should and I now have some extra weight. I also have a low stress job, I am STILL active and work out, my heart is normal size, my blood pressure and sugar are almost perfect, my pulse if fine. I am concerned about the side effects of statin drugs v my present health condition- or lack of problems. Why should I risk the dangerous side effects of statin drugs to lower my cholesterol if I do not show signs of a cholesterol problem?
