i've already kind of replied to your post on "chronic hives driving me nuts!"...but wanted to answer your questions...
i've had a very very mild form of hives for 10yrs that only lasted a couple of hrs at a time. then 1.5yrs ago i had a major break out when i traveled overseas. i came back to the states and just had some here and there.  then about three months ago i had a major break out. i been on prednisone since.  it is a dangerous drug but i am now on a very low dose. u probably read in the other post, but most ppl have researched and tried various things. things i've noticed are i improved after getting my wisdom tooth pulled out and being on antibiotics for h. pylori infection. i hope that helps.

How long have you had this?  I have had it for at least 11 years.  Gets worse when I have surgery.  I had a super cervial hysterectomy in Jan.  then all of a sudden I had about 100 bumps.  They go away usually over night.  I will get one or two each day.  The worse is when half my lip swells up about four times its normal size.  Or my finger tip will swell.  I get them everywhere, but the funny thing is that they go away overnight.  I never had them the two times I was pregnant and the doc told me the reason for this.  I am just wondering if this is really what I have, because I have been to so many different docs about this.

Hi,

Myself and the 20% of the world's population have some type of hives...a smaller percentage (like myself) have chronic hives
there are actually several threads already posted here for chronic hives. Most of the time when you see "chronic hives", it's the same as chronic idiopathic urticaria.
