He sent you for an ECG to rule out a heart problem. If you got dizzy I suspect you were running low on oxygen. What were your COPD test results. These usually include and FEV1 which indicates how seriously your breathing is compromised. COPD has asthma as a component. It is a combination of chronic bronchitis, emphysema and asthma.
What medications are you taking?
I dont know what an ECG is neither, but asthma is associated to COPD. If you research more and more, you may find some answers or comfort. I Google everyhting for I don't get alot of detailed answers. I found a COPD Foundation on line that has alot of answers and good info. Other than that, I google everything! You would be surprised at what you will find. BTW all doctors arent the same. When you know you are to see a doctor, write down questions you have and even ask him for updated info. Normally they will give it to you upon request.
To begin with, COPD is emphysema in most cases.
Asthma is not associated with COPD!
Asthma is asthma!
I don't know what an ECG test is but if you're going to be treated correctly, you need to complete the tests.
The Dr. won't let you pass out or anything.
Clear your mind and tell yourself, you need to do this.
