Since no one else answered I will answer to the best of my understanding. Sorry for your
scare MayMay, I too had one. A 9mm nodular density is a shadow on an ex-ray that could be a mass that may be benign or malignant. The good news is most of the time they are not cancer. It could be a mass but it could be just a shadow from an infection you had, or pneumonia. Usually if you have something like this show up on an ex-ray, your next step would be to get an MRI and after that a PET scan. The results of which could be different for each one. What you see on your ex-ray may not even be there in the MRI. It's important that you do not wait to find out though, if nothing else to rest your mind.
Good luck to you and God Bless you MayMay!
