MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
What you are having is chronic constipation. chronic constipation can be habitual constipation due to faulty dietary habits, decreased water intake or it can be drug induced. Medications for hypertension like calcium channel blockers like verapamil etc, or tri-cyclic antidepressants may cause constipation. Endocrine disorders like hypothyroidism may be responsible for the same. Or it can be due to local causes like spastic colon, sub-acute obstruction or tumours etc. All these factors need to be evaluated preferably by a gastroenterologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
