You might want to get your other B levels checked to be safe, then, especially B6 and folic acid, as B12, B6 and folic acid act in a synergy with one another.
You know, by b12 level is waaayy off the charts. I guess from me taking it like I did.
Oh phooey, they censored **** quai again. It's d-o-n-g quai.
I wouldn't personally take it if I had adrenal problems. It contains caffeine, for one thing. It contains a byproduct of glucose metabolism, meaning it's fitting into the sugar metabolism. It contains phenalynine, which is very useful for depression but which can cause anxiety in those prone to that -- it can be speedy, too, which is great if you're depressed, but not so good if your adrenals are stressed. Look, it's an upper, though much milder than, say, Jolt Cola or something like that, but still an upper. It also contains a healthy dose of B vitamins such as niacin and B6 which can balance out some of the ill effects of uppers, but, it's still an upper. And it contains B12. If your adrenals are stressed, I'd suggest skipping the uppers and going with a good adaptogenic blend of herbs such as ashwagandha, eleuthero, American ginseng or if you're a woman perhaps **** quai. And if you want B12, just take it separately when needed, but everyone remember, large doses of B12 will create an imbalance with your B6 and Folic Acid. This forumula understands that, and has all three, so that's a good point to it. The danger is homocysteine buildup, which is implicated as the major risk factor in heart disease -- the body needs a balance of those three B's to battle homocysteine buildup. The only people who need regular B12 in very high doses are people with B12 anemia; for the rest, it's just a high, and like all highs, it usually creates a temporary imbalance somewhere else. Continued use creates a permanent imbalance.
Is it called 5 hour Energy ? someone else here may know I didnt realise caffeine was bad for the adrenals or an adrenal problem ..
