Hi,
I am aware of the pacemakers-defibrillators which have the inbuilt mechanism of turning off the defibrillators without compromising the functioning of the pacemaker. This is done with the help of a magnet and is usually done before a patient goes in for any surgery. However, I am not particularly aware of this model. I’ll suggest you to write mail to the company and seek an answer or maybe it’s mentioned in the manual which comes along with such devices.
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and keep me posted Kind Regards.
Thank you for your prompt reply. My husband is totally dependent on the pacemaker and we want to keep that part of it operational, but NOT the defib portion of it. I didn't know you could have one without the other.
Hi,
The device can be turned off if the patient wishes this to be done.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted. Kind regards.
