The heart medications are great at helping people live long lives with CHF, especially the ace inhibitors (which are proven in studies to increase lifespan). Reducing stress, eating healthy and avoiding salt, taking medications as prescribed by the doctor are the key to a long life. You must be taking very good care of yourself.
Thank you so much for your comments. God Bless You!
My Husband was diagnosed with CHF at the age of 43 on a routine physical. He had no symptoms but Dr.s also discovered he had Left Bundle Block. He was not overweight and his job was very physical. After echo, Dr. discovered his EF was 23%. His heart rate was so low that they wanted to put in LVAD. Since then we have discoverd a problem with both leads and now he is having a pain in his heart that seems to be worsening. He is feeling tired again and I am worried that these pains are a warning. Dr.s are saying that they are going to have to go in again and replace leads but keep a watchful eye every 3-4 months to monitor this disfunction. Meanwhile we are on pens and needles every minute.

Definitely people can live for that duration and more if they are compliant with their medications and follow a healthy lifestyle which you are following currently. With a strong willpower, anyone can brave even the worse of diseases which afflict mankind. You need to ensure that your ejection fraction with a regular follow up with your cardiologist.
I sincerely hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind regards.
