Crohn's Disease and UTI correlation

I am a male 21 years old and have had Crohn's disease for 5 years now and have had on and off urinary tract problems for about 3 years. Usually the pain goes away within a few weeks and comes back 3 or 4 months later and my urine cultures have always been negative. Recently I have been having excruciating pain for 2 months while urinating, my urine culture showed a lot of blood and puss and protein. My doctor started me on cyprofloxin which seemed to work at first, but after 1 week is was just as bad as before. The wait to see a urologist is months so I have been relegated to taking tylenol 3s to cope with the pain also I have been to the hospital, but they will not admit me because they believe it is a urinary infection and gave me another round of antibiotics it sounds like Doxycycline this also worked for a while, but again after a week the pain came back just as bad as before. I am now on Oflaxin and this is not helping at all. I have no idea what to do and cannot continue to live like this. Any help would be appreciated.

hello my advise to you is the same advise that i gave to a friend, and that is, first keep away from sexual activity for a while including masturbation, also take one teaspoon of pure honey everyday to rejuvenate your intestinal damage, hope it works, bye.

maybe get checked for a fistula these can form between organs such as the bladder and intestine.... not fun....very common in crohn's..

I have a friend who had constant uti's and the antibiotics were constant as was the uti's coming back! When she went to the gastro she was told it was a problem due to her constipation which resulted in a leaky gut type thing which would find its way into the bladder. Just thought I would mention it.

I have no advice for you...I read your post and felt the need to post a response..For the last 6 years we have thought that my husband had celiac disease ,tonight I have come to the conclusion that he has Crohns Disease. I have to show him my findings tomorrow..I do not know which is worse , at least now he will be able to eat gluten.Crohns appears to be an on going problematic painful problem..My heart truly goes out to you , and everyone who has this disease..I have been attuned to Reiki ,I have no way of knowing how you feel about this  but I can heal over a distance...I am going to send you Reiki tonight..i hope that it helps if only just a little..Love and Healing to you...Blessed Be...Kim
