I have had crohns for 20 years I would say that every time that happens to me I end up in the hospital for 12 days on bowel rest and steroids. You can get Jordan Rubins book on how to do this at home.IT happens to me alot, I usually end up on the floor untill the pain stops .If it does't stop ,you end upin the hospital,it's serious!
Hey i am 14 and have had Chron's since 12, and am going inot G.I. studdies helping others. Here is what i might think of doing if i were you. Have your G.I. doctor order bloodwork to check on all you levels including Liver and Imuran Count. Ask your doctor if you are having problems about Remicade and all the risk factors. If you are allright with all of them try Remicade. It will clear you up and help more suffecently than Imuran. Hope i helped and stay strong and know that you will be just fine.

A similar thing happened to me about 10 months ago. I got very sick three or four times and it didn't matter what I ate. I couldn't get out of bed hardly and I kept running a low fever. Went to the GI and he said I had lost my response to the medicine and my Crohn's was flaring up. After several tests to rule out an abcess or another problem, he put me on Humira. I have been doing better, but am still trying to get off the steroids. Check with your doctor to make sure you.
